Product Information

Ridetech's rear sway bar ties both sides of the rear suspension together, so the back end of an S550/S650 Mustang resists body roll instead of leaning through it. This one's sold as a full kit, not just the bar: end links, bushings, brackets and hardware are all in the box. See Fitment Notes below for the exact years and trims this covers.

Why Upgrade to a Ridetech Rear Sway Bar

  • A rear sway bar built for this platform: it ties the two sides of the rear suspension together to resist body roll when you're pushing hard into a corner.
  • End links sized for the new bar are in the box, not just the bar by itself.
  • Bushings, brackets and hardware are included too, so the whole rear bar assembly comes as one kit instead of a bar you have to piece parts around.
  • Adds [VERIFY: bar diameter, stiffness or spring rate change, adjustability, material] over the stock rear bar.

Fitment Notes

Fits 2015-2026 Ford Mustang: EcoBoost, GT, V6 (2015-2017), GT350 (2016-2020), Bullitt (2019-2020), GT500 (2020-2022), Mach 1 (2021-2023), Dark Horse (2024-2026), GTD (2025-2026). No exclusions are listed for this coverage. [VERIFY: the title on this listing reads 15-24, while Ridetech's description and our canonical fitment data both say 2015-2026. Install and Honest Talk

Ridetech's own description is short: it names the bar and confirms the end links, bushings, brackets and hardware are in the box, and that's as far as it goes. Ridetech doesn't say what has to come off the rear end first, whether the stock bar and bushings press out or unbolt, what torque to run the new hardware to, or whether you need the car up on a lift. [VERIFY: install steps, tools, torque specs, and whether the stock bar and bushings need to be pressed out or simply unbolted.]

What else you need: check the included instructions for whether extra tools, a lift, or specific torque specs are called out, since Ridetech doesn't spell them out here. One real tradeoff worth weighing: this is a full bar and hardware swap, not a bushing only refresh, so you're pulling more off the back of the car than if you were just replacing worn factory bushings.

Buying parts for your Mustang or F-150 should not feel like homework. Too many stores bury you in a giant catalog, slap the same distributor description on every product, and leave you guessing whether it even fits.

We do it the other way. We carry the brands you already trust, we tell you what a part actually does, and we give you the truth about the tradeoffs before you spend a dollar. Drone on that exhaust. Ride quality on those springs. Whether you need a tune. The stuff the big catalogs leave out.
