Product Information

A lift throws the 2021-2024 Ford F-150's alignment out by adding too much caster (later years are still to be confirmed, see the fitment notes). This FOX billet upper control arm puts that caster back where it belongs and frees up droop travel while it is at it. FOX calls the upper control arm the first step in building a mid-travel truck.

Why Upgrade to a FOX Upper Control Arm

Per FOX, here is what the arm changes:

  • Alignment comes back into spec after a lift. Lifting the truck introduces too much caster, and this arm provides the correction to hold the alignment where it belongs.
  • More droop travel, so the suspension can stretch further and the truck articulates more over rough terrain off-road.
  • Less wander at high speed. The added caster settles the steering, so you are not constantly correcting to keep the truck in its lane.
  • A precise, comfortable ride on rougher roads and trails, which is the whole point of doing the arms before the rest of the build.
  • Geometry worked out for this truck. The engineers evaluated the suspension geometry and optimized the arms for the intended vehicle.

Fitment Notes

Fits the 2021-2024 Ford F-150 in Base, Raptor and Tremor trims. Does not fit the F-150 Lightning or the Raptor R. FOX describes this arm as the correction for a lifted truck, so it belongs on an F-150 that has been lifted or is about to be. [VERIFY: title says 21-24, coverage says 2021-2026, so the 2025-2026 years are unconfirmed; also whether it is intended for a stock-height truck at all.]

Install and Honest Talk

The factory upper control arm comes off and this one goes on in its place. Beyond that, FOX does not publish the install steps, so the included instructions are where you find out what tools it takes, whether the truck needs a lift or jack stands, whether the ball joint is included, and whether the factory hardware is reused. The part exists to change caster, so check the included instructions for whether an alignment is required afterward, and for the exact procedure and torque values. What else you need: [VERIFY: supporting lift parts, hardware in the box, bolts and torque specs, clearance, alignment after install.]

Honest talk: this is a caster correction for a lifted truck, not a standalone bolt-on that transforms a stock F-150. FOX calls it the first step in a mid-travel build, which means it is the opening purchase, not the last one. The orange finish is a look you either want peeking out from under the fender or you do not, and it will not match a truck that is otherwise stock or blacked out.

No Robots. Just Car People.

Buying parts for your Mustang or F-150 should not feel like homework. Too many stores bury you in a giant catalog, slap the same distributor description on every product, and leave you guessing whether it even fits.

We do it the other way. We carry the brands you already trust, we tell you what a part actually does, and we give you the truth about the tradeoffs before you spend a dollar. Drone on that exhaust. Ride quality on those springs. Whether you need a tune. The stuff the big catalogs leave out.
