Product Information

Rear shocks for the 2025 Ford F-150, sold as a pair. This is the FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series, a reservoir shock with DSC adjustment, built for trucks running 0 to 1.5 inches of lift. The job: control and extended wheel travel once the pavement ends, which FOX says it engineered specifically for this truck.

Why Upgrade to a Performance Elite Reservoir Shock

Per FOX, here is what these shocks bring:

  • An oversized shock built to increase strength, keep the rear under control and extend wheel travel, so the rear axle has more room to work before it runs out of travel.
  • The larger aluminum body sheds heat more efficiently and holds more oil, and race-developed high-flow pistons put that oil to work for more control.
  • A 7/8 inch hard chromed shaft and a redundant seal pack, designed for harsh environments and extreme conditions, so the seals are doing their job in exactly the places that wear a shock out.
  • Fully serviceable, meant for a lifetime of use rather than a one-and-done part.
  • DSC adjustment with the widest range of adjustability in the FOX lineup. Dial it for terrain, load and speed: one setting for the empty highway run, another for a loaded bed on a dirt road.

Fitment Notes

Our fitment data lists this rear pair for the 2025 Ford F-150 in Base, Lightning, Raptor and Tremor trims, at 0 to 1.5 inches of lift. Does not fit the F-150 Raptor R. [VERIFY: the title says 2017+ Ford SD while our fitment data says 2025 F-150, confirm the application before ordering.]

Install and Honest Talk

Install is a rear shock swap: the old rear shocks come off, these go on, one per side. This listing is the rear pair only, so the fronts are a separate purchase. [VERIFY: install steps, hardware in the box, mounting bolts, torque specs and clearance at the reservoir.] What else you need: check the included instructions for the mounting bolts, torque specs and reservoir clearance before you start, and plan on the front shocks being a separate buy.

Honest talk: an adjustable reservoir shock is not a set-and-forget part. The DSC adjustment is the point, which also means you are the one setting it up for terrain, load and speed, and a bad setting is on you. It is a lot more shock than a plain replacement, and you pay for that. Fully serviceable cuts both ways: it can be rebuilt, and it is the kind of shock you maintain rather than ignore. And the 0 to 1.5 inch lift range is the range. Run more lift than that and this is not the shock for you.

Buying parts for your Mustang or F-150 should not feel like homework. Too many stores bury you in a giant catalog, slap the same distributor description on every product, and leave you guessing whether it even fits.

We do it the other way. We carry the brands you already trust, we tell you what a part actually does, and we give you the truth about the tradeoffs before you spend a dollar. Drone on that exhaust. Ride quality on those springs. Whether you need a tune. The stuff the big catalogs leave out.
