Flowmaster 18-23 Mustang 5.0L Outlaw Axle-Back Exhaust System - (w/Valves)

Axle-back for the 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT with the Coyote 5.0 and the factory active exhaust. It puts a pair of Flowmaster's Outlaw Series mufflers on the car, with valves that run off the factory exhaust actuators and quad 4.00-inch polished stainless tips. The job is simple: a lot more sound, with the ability to open it all the way up when you want it.

Fitment Notes

Fits 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT, 2019-2020 Bullitt and 2021-2023 Mach 1. Flowmaster designs it for coupes and convertibles with the 5.0L engine and the Factory Active Performance Exhaust Option, so the car needs the factory active exhaust for the valves to have actuators to work with. Does not fit EcoBoost, GT350 or GT500. [VERIFY: the coverage lists Bullitt and Mach 1, the product copy names GT coupes and convertibles only, and the factory active exhaust option is a requirement.]

Install and Honest Talk

Flowmaster says the box has all necessary parts, hardware and detailed instructions, and pitches this as an install you can do at home. The valves are there to accommodate the factory exhaust actuators, which is why this system is built around cars that came with the Factory Active Performance Exhaust Option. What else you need: a car with the factory active exhaust already on it, then check the included instructions for tools and for whether a tune is required. [VERIFY: tune requirement, tools and lift needed, what comes off the car.]

Honest talk: very aggressive outside means it is not quiet inside either. Flowmaster calls the interior tone noticeable, and that is the tone you live with on a long highway drive, with passengers, and pulling out of the neighborhood early. The valves let the factory actuators close things down when you are not in the mood, but the base note is still an Outlaw. If you want a mild step up from stock, this is the wrong muffler. The tips are polished, so if the rest of the rear end is blacked out, they will stand out rather than blend in.

Orders over $99 ship free by ground to the lower 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and Canada are not included; shipping to those addresses is calculated at checkout. Some oversize or heavy parts (long-tube exhausts, bumpers, full lift kits) go freight instead of parcel: free to a commercial address with a loading dock, and residential freight delivery carries an additional charge.

When it ships

Parts ship direct from the distributor warehouse that stocks them, so dispatch timing depends on the part, not on a single cutoff. You get a confirmation with tracking as soon as it leaves, and tracking shows the delivery estimate for your address. If a part is backordered we email you an expected availability date.

Missing or damaged items

Report a short shipment or shipping damage within 5 business days of delivery. For a packing error, send us the date or package code printed on the label along with the part number so we can trace it with the warehouse.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
