A Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back for the 2015-2020 Ford F-150. It replaces the factory exhaust from the catalytic converters back and swaps in a 409S stainless system with a Super 40 muffler. Loud out back, moderate in the cab, and you pick which way the tailpipes exit.

• The plumbing is a 3.00-inch mandrel-bent inlet tube feeding a Super 40 series performance muffler, then splitting to dual 2.50-inch mandrel-bent tailpipes.
• Polished 3.50-inch stainless steel tips. They are the part you and everyone behind you actually see.
• Your choice of exit: straight out the rear under the bumper, or out the sides behind the rear tires if you tow an RV, boat or trailer.
• 409S stainless steel, bolt-on, with all necessary parts and hardware in the box for an install you can do at home.

Fitment Notes

Install and Honest Talk

Flowmaster calls this a bolt-on and says all necessary parts and hardware come in the box for a home install. The factory exhaust comes off from the cats back and this system goes on in its place. Decide on your exit before you start: side exit behind the rear tires if a trailer, boat or RV lives on your hitch, rear exit under the bumper if not. Whether tools, a lift or jack stands are needed is not stated, so read the included instructions first. What else you need: [VERIFY: tune requirement, tools or lift for the install.]

The honest part: aggressive outside means aggressive outside. Early starts in the driveway, the neighbors will know, and a cop at a light will hear you before he sees you. Flowmaster describes the interior as moderate, not quiet, so plan on hearing it in the cab on the highway. If the truck is a Standard Cab/Short Bed, this system is not for it, no matter the engine.

Orders over $99 ship free by ground to the lower 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and Canada are not included; shipping to those addresses is calculated at checkout. Some oversize or heavy parts (long-tube exhausts, bumpers, full lift kits) go freight instead of parcel: free to a commercial address with a loading dock, and residential freight delivery carries an additional charge.

When it ships

Parts ship direct from the distributor warehouse that stocks them, so dispatch timing depends on the part, not on a single cutoff. You get a confirmation with tracking as soon as it leaves, and tracking shows the delivery estimate for your address. If a part is backordered we email you an expected availability date.

Missing or damaged items

Report a short shipment or shipping damage within 5 business days of delivery. For a packing error, send us the date or package code printed on the label along with the part number so we can trace it with the warehouse.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
