Valve springs for the 5.0 Coyote in the 2011-2017 Ford Mustang GT and Boss 302 and the 2011-2017 Ford F-150. COMP Cams rates this kit for cams up to .550 inch lift. If a cam swap is on the list, the springs come with it.

Why Upgrade to a Rated Spring Kit

Per COMP Cams, here is the spec sheet on this kit:

• Rated to .550 inch max lift, so you know the ceiling before you pick a cam.
• 93 lbs on the seat at 1.57 inch installed height, 198 lbs open at 1.02 inch. Those are the numbers to hand your engine builder.
• Spring rate is 191 lbs per inch.
• Coil bind at .952 inch. Measure your lift against it and you know your margin before the covers go back on.
• Outer diameter runs .959 inch at the top and 1.061 inch at the bottom, inner diameter .636 inch top and .738 inch bottom. Check those against your retainers and seats before you order.

Fits the 2011-2017 Ford Mustang GT and the 2012-2013 Boss 302, and the 2011-2017 Ford F-150 Base with the 5.0 Coyote. Made for Coyote and Boss 5.0L engines. Does not fit F-150 Raptor. Does not fit Mustang EcoBoost, V6, GT350 or GT500.

Install and Honest Talk

Valve springs live under the valve covers, so this is a valvetrain job with the engine opened up. What comes off, what tools it takes and whether the heads stay on the engine are not spelled out here, so read the instructions before you start. The product photo does not show the full kit, so do not judge the contents by the picture.

Honest talk: the spec sheet is the whole story on this one. If your cam does not call for this much spring, you are buying a rating you will not use. And a spring is only right if installed height, coil bind and lift all line up, so measure before you assemble. Orders over $99 ship free by ground to the lower 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and Canada are not included; shipping to those addresses is calculated at checkout. Some oversize or heavy parts (long-tube exhausts, bumpers, full lift kits) go freight instead of parcel: free to a commercial address with a loading dock, and residential freight delivery carries an additional charge.

When it ships

Parts ship direct from the distributor warehouse that stocks them, so dispatch timing depends on the part, not on a single cutoff. You get a confirmation with tracking as soon as it leaves, and tracking shows the delivery estimate for your address. If a part is backordered we email you an expected availability date.

Missing or damaged items

Report a short shipment or shipping damage within 5 business days of delivery. For a packing error, send us the date or package code printed on the label along with the part number so we can trace it with the warehouse.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
